Saturday, 30 November, 6 pm at the hall of the Academy of Sciences (Kohtu 6)

The pleasant companion

Castrucci, Hotteterre, Geminiani, de la Guerre, Chédeville and others

Conrad Steinmann – recorders and flageolet
Plamena Nikitassova – baroque violin

Jörg-Andreas Bötticher – organ and harpsichord (Switzerland)

The Estonian audience is lucky, because Conrad Steinmann — apparently the most respected recorder player in the world, has given several recitals here. His ability to inspire also beginners is phenomenal. Not to mention a concert where his partner in the ensemble is his renowned colleague Jörg-Andreas Bötticher, the harpsichord professor at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Both celebrities are enthusiastic about collaboration with the younger generation baroque violinist Plamena Nikitassova who is also connected to Basel. The concert will take place in the Upper Town, at the Academy of Sciences’ respectable, beautiful hall with excellent acoustics. There is only one shortcoming about the venue — the hall isn’t big enough. All the more privileged will be the ones who will make it there.
