Bach. Cello suites
Mime Yamahiro Brinkmann
Japanese cellist Mime Yamahiro Brinkmann has studied in The Netherlands, won competitions in Italy and Belgium, and finally settled down in Sweden. Throughout her travels, she has been consistently collaborating with many of the greats of old music. We are happy to present Mime Yamahiro and all six of Bach’s Cello Suites, which were also recently published as a CD under the record label Arcantus and received overwhelmingly positive reviews by critics far and wide. Mime herself has described the Suites, listened in chronological order, as a journey through the cycle of a human life – appearing first with the pristine G-Major and reaching it’s finale in the ethereal D-Major, passing through blossoming youth, reaching of adulthood, maturity, subsequent wisdom and darkness on the way.
